What does your landscaping service include?

Our landscaping service covers the full big-picture plan for your outdoor space. We help with landscape design, planting and softscape planning, 3D landscape visualization, project management, native and shoreline landscape guidance, and coordination with trusted subcontractors when needed.

Do you handle both design and installation?

We lead the project from concept to completion, even though we do not perform the physical landscape installation ourselves. We create the plan, help select plants and materials, and coordinate with trusted contractors so you have one clear point of contact throughout the project.

Can you help me picture the finished project before work starts?

Yes. We can provide 3D landscape visualization so you can better understand layout, plant placement, hardscape flow, and overall curb appeal before installation begins. This helps reduce guesswork and gives you more confidence in the final plan.

What types of properties do you work on?

We work with homeowners, lakefront properties, businesses, and contractors in the Brainerd Lakes Area and beyond. Many of our projects are for high-value homes where owners want a custom outdoor space that looks beautiful, works well, and fits the property.

How long does a landscaping project take?

The timeline depends on the size and scope of the project. Planning and coordination can start quickly, and maintenance work often takes one to two days depending on property size. We will give you a clear schedule so you know what to expect from the start.

Why should I trust EL Outdoors with my landscaping project?

We are an insured, family-owned company with hands-on experience and a strong focus on clear communication. Since every property is different, we take time to understand your goals, build a practical plan, and guide the project carefully so the process feels smooth and organized.

Service Details

At EL Outdoors, our landscaping service is built for homeowners who want more than a nice-looking yard. We help create outdoor spaces that feel finished, work well for daily life, and fit the character of the home. From front entry landscaping to backyard planting plans, we focus on curb appeal, function, and long-term value.

Our landscaping process starts with a clear plan. We can help with landscape design, plant selection, softscape planning, and 3D landscape visualization so you can see how the finished space may look before work moves forward. This is especially helpful for larger homes, lake properties, and projects where every detail matters. We design with the property in mind, including layout, views, drainage concerns, privacy, and how the space will be used.

We also help guide projects from concept through completion. While we may not perform every installation trade in-house, we can serve as the main point of contact and coordinate with trusted subcontractors when needed. That means you get one team helping manage the vision, plantings, scheduling, and overall flow of the project, instead of trying to handle multiple moving parts on your own.

Our landscaping services can include planting beds, shrub and perennial layouts, native landscape planning, shoreline-friendly landscape concepts, foundation plantings, seasonal color, and softscape installation planning. We also consider practical details like maintenance needs, traffic flow, screening, and how your landscape will mature over time. When a property needs ongoing care after the project is complete, we can also discuss landscape maintenance and property management support.

As a family-owned and insured company serving the Brainerd Lakes Area, we know that trust matters. Our team brings 9 years of combined experience, and we take a hands-on approach to every project. We keep communication simple, expectations clear, and payment straightforward with 50% down and the balance due at project completion.

If you are ready to improve your curb appeal, refresh a lakefront property, or build a landscape plan that brings everything together, we would love to talk with you about your goals and next steps.

Our Landscaping Process

We guide your landscaping project from the first conversation to the final walkthrough, with clear planning, practical design, and hands-on coordination that keeps your property looking its best.

Consultation, Site Review & Vision Plan

We start with a detailed on-site consultation to learn your goals, walk the property, and evaluate grading, drainage, sun exposure, shoreline conditions, and curb appeal opportunities. Then we outline a clear concept, budget range, and next steps so you know exactly what to expect before work begins.

Design, Plant Selection & Project Coordination

Next, we develop the layout, planting plan, and material recommendations for your landscape, whether you need softscape improvements, native plantings, or a full outdoor refresh. We also coordinate trusted subcontractors when needed and build a realistic project timeline so every detail stays organized and on track.

Installation Oversight & Final Walkthrough

Once the plan is approved, we oversee the project through completion, confirm the work meets the design intent, and keep you updated as the job moves forward. At the end, we walk the property with you, review the finished landscape, and make sure you feel confident about care, maintenance, and long-term results.
